Ferseyn
(*Raseyn x *Ferda)
Ferseyn was a grey stallion born at the Kellogg Institute in 1937. He was one of the
most successful sons of *Raseyn. His offspring were sometimes slow to develop, but
they tended to blossom over the years, winning championships even after their foals
began to win. They are very athletic, doing well at dressage, three gaited, and stock
classes.
Khemosabi++++ may have gotten his impishness from Ferseyn, as they both like to cook
up their own entertainment such as by opening stall doors at night.
Raseyn
*Raseyn was a grey stallion born in 1923 at the Crabbet Park Stud. He was imported
to the U.S. and became an important sire at the Kellogg Institute. He earned his
own championship and sired a line with many more. Both of the champions of the first
National show held by IAHA in 1958 were by a son of *Raseyn.
*This photo shows *Raseyn's jumping ability. He was also 5 gaited.
Skowronek
Skowronek was foaled in Poland in 1909, then exported to England in 1913 where his
prepotency established a sire line through *Raffles, *Raseyn, Naseem, and his
grandson *Serafix, that has had a monumental impact on American Arabian breeding
programs that started in the 1930's and is still felt to this day.
